Rhett A. McSweeney

Rhett A. McSweeney is a Founding Partner of McSweeney/Langevin, a firm that is focused on mass torts, medical malpractice, and products liability. His exceptional skills have earned him professional achievement awards, as well as large settlements in national class action lawsuits in cases ranging from defective drugs to consumer fraud.

Rhett is dedicated to helping individuals fight and win against large multi-national corporations and insurance companies. The high success rate he has maintained over the length of his career is evidence of his unmatched ambition and drive. After graduating from Minnesota State University in Mankato with degrees in History and Speech communications, Rhett pursued a Masters Degree in Speech Communications at MSUM. He completed his education at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN. While attending William Mitchell, he was a national finalist in the American Bar Association’s Negotiation Competition. After graduation, Rhett was a founding partner of McSweeney & Fay, P.L.L.P. and over the next fourteen years helped it to grow into one of the largest personal injury firms in the Twin Cities. He was named a Law and Politics Rising Star in 2005 and 2006 and is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association and the Minnesota Bar Association.

Rhett is a family man and loves spending time with his wife and four children. He also enjoys golf, yoga, reading, water sports and hunting. His philanthropic interests include women’s issues, health and medical concerns and individual rights.
