The FDA has demanded Merck, the manufacturer of Type 2 Diabetes Drug Januvia, update its Januvia warning label. The FDA issued a warning letter to Merck stating Merck’s “violation is concerning from a public health perspective” because the required study was “part of a written agreement between [Merck] and the FDA to conduct additional testing to further asses a signal of a serious risk of acute pacreatitis…associated with the use of Januvia.”
